The Rusty Pilot
Today was one of those unbelievable New England days….is it really the 6th of December? I didn’t have plans to go flying today but one look at the bright, blue morning sky changed all that. I jumped into my car and drove to Minute Man Air Field. I got into a friends plane since mine is in the shop for it’s annual, and took to the skies. I spent 45 amazing minutes above the earth. The view was unlimited and it was very calm. It’s days like today that remind me why I love to fly.

Today was an easy choice for me…go flying or do some chores around the house. No-brainer! It’s not always that easy of a choice though. Jobs and family put huge strains on our time and it gets routine to put off doing the things we love in order to focus on our obligations. Years can past before you realize you haven’t been flying. By this time all your currency is gone and some of your skills are rusty to say the least. If you are a pilot who hasn’t been in the air for a year or more but now have the time to pursue your passion for flying then the safe thing for you to do is attend Aptis Aviation’s Rusty Pilot Seminar on December 12th at 10am. Aptis Aviation’s Chief Pilot, Devan Wiebe, will explain the steps necessary to start flying again safely. In this seminar you’ll learn about all the rules and regulations that may have changed since the last time you flew. Devan will also cover the specific steps necessary you get you qualified to fly again.
So if you are interested in attending our Rusty Pilot Seminar this coming Saturday please register here. Free coffee and snacks will be provided. Thanks to AOPA for all it’s support.
